The Pand, an 18th centrury carriage house now converted to a 26 bedroom (non-smoking rooms) boutique hotel, is a member of the "Small Luxury Hotels of the World."
It is privately run by the owner, whose pride is evidently expressed in the opulent choice of furnishings, objets d'art and many antiques.
Each room is beautifully decorated with great care and attention to detail - very romantic. The 11 junior suites are decorated with stunning Ralph Lauren fabrics.
The hotel facilities include an intimate lounge, library, cosy and romantic bar a country-style breakfast room, where a full breakfast (with champagne!) is prepared on the AGA stove and an inner yard with fountain and a sauna for relaxation.
